Os problemas de crescimento urbano no município de Carrapateira - PB.

Abstract

This study addresses the urban growth problems of Carrapateira - PB. O urban development model that occurred in the city, marked mainly by the difficult lack of planning for this growth, mainly causing impacts on the urban environment. The present work aimed to analyze the problems of urban growth of the municipality of Carrapateira of the high sertão da Paraíba. Having as methodological procedure a study of search of information and data related to the geographical characteristics of the municipality according to the IBGE. Therefore, the This is a qualitative descriptive study based on the characteristics analysis. socioeconomic conditions of the municipality, contextualizing the thinking of some authors urbanization. In this study, the problems of urban growth, analyzing the different times and scenarios of the occupation and uses of the areas, the representations users and institutions about their main symbols and images of the area. It is noticed the construction of a new floor for lack of space for the construction of new housing estates because the division of land by inheritance occurs and their owners are not get rid of their lands. Under these conditions the solution would be the sale or donation of such land, and that public policies be implemented.
