A modernidade em Afogados da Ingazeira: vivências e cotidiano através das imagens (1935-1975).

Abstract

The presente dissertation intends to problematize the processo of modernization through images. With a look at the experiences, the daily life, the construction of progress and cultural practices. A study of the city of Afogados da Ingazeira in Pernambuco, with a temporalcut from 1935 to 1975. Through historiographic research, we seek to understand urban changes and transformations in the economy, in the political and of the social process, end in the cultural practices. To answer the question that came up with the problematization; a plan of research and analysis of imagery sources was established, with an investigative reading of the information and narratives of the memorialists. Using indexing procedures and through a theoretical-methodological framework based on the assumptions of cultural history, it integrates mediations with social history, in this way, we build this academic work.
