Abstract

The Basic sanitation actions comprises, mainly, the supplying of the drinking water, sanitary exhaustion and proper management of stormwater and solid waste, thus is necessary the integralization of such shares for the guarantee of public health. This study aimed to present a solution for final disposal of the gray water of Ipueiras, Paulista-PB district. As methodological means, interviews were conducted to the population through questionnaires application technique, lecture presentation to community residents, technical visit to the City Health Department and also an interview with the Secretary of the municipality Infrastructure, aiming know at the situation of basic sanitation in it. From the results we found a reasonable number of persons not to know the reuse of gray water. Among those who know this technique, but do not make it, the justification given was that there was no need or who do not receive incentives. The reuse of wastewater may promote various benefits to the population, as economy, protection people and the environment.
