Abstract: The subject of this study is Supervisory Action in a public school belonging to the 10th Teaching Region based respectively, in the city of Sousa - PB. The interest in the supervisory function in that school originated from studies and discussions held in the classroom. This aroused in us the desire to seek information and the most substantial information on the practice of Supervision and on the difficulties encountered by the supervisors in the development of their work, as we know that this practice takes place in an educational system that presents serious contradictions. In this sense, Educational Supervision, in the way it has traditionally been exercised, has been a strong ally of the Federal and State government for the fulfillment of its political-educational purposes and that justifies its introduction in the middle of public schools. However, in the current moment of transformation that Brazilian society and education is going through, the school community in general, and Educational Supervision in particular, seek, at the time of their action and reflection, to review their pedagogical practice, shifting the axis of their individual action for the collective, the social and the global, when dealing with the issue of teaching-learning so that it can effectively contribute to transforming educational work.
