Abstract

What motivated us to carry out the present study was the observation, through my experience as a teacher, of the difficulties that our students face in learning to read and write, as they can also perceive through the dialogue with fellow teachers a certain difficulty in relation to the teaching of reading and writing. I realized the importance of studying the theme of teaching reading and writing, because through it we are working on the conscience of our students, we are building students who have full knowledge of the world and language. This work aimed to find the main difficulties faced by teachers., I will analyze the process of teaching reading and writing, with teachers of reading teaching, with teachers of the Elementary School of the Municipal School Mariano Thomaz, in the city of São José of Caiana in the State of Paraíba. As a specific objective, to reflect on the possible difficulties experienced by teachers in the process of teaching reading and writing, investigating the methodology developed in teaching reading and writing and analyzing how teachers define reading and writing.
