Aspectos jurídicos da preservação do patrimônio histórico e cultural: uma análise sobre o Vale dos Dinossauros em Sousa - Paraíba.

Abstract

Historical and cultural heritage is an element that allows society to know its history. Considering the local, regional, and world importance of the historical and cultural heritage, the preservation and valorization of it is necessary. Given this scenario, this study aims to analyze the instruments provided for in the legal system relevant to the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the Valley of Dinosaurs (Vale dos Dinossauros), located in the city of Sousa / PB. In the preparation of the work, the deductive approach method was used, taking advantage of its qualitative condition, from descriptive and exploratory research, and as procedural methods, the historical-evolutionary and exegetical-legal. The research technique used was indirect, based on doctrines, scientific articles, legislation, and related documents. With the analysis of the bibliographic contribution, it was found that the historical and cultural heritage of the Dinosaur Valley does not have the due protection, mainly because of the non-observance and disobedience of the legislation. It was found that the educational, tourism and economic potential of the historical and cultural heritage of the Valley of Dinosaurs, and therefore, implementing plans and measures conducive to the preservation of heritage.
