Abstract

This course completion work has the objective of studying the issues related to the requirements for international adoption in Brazil, the difficulties faced and the modifications that may help to address the problems pointed out. It is therefore a study about its legal requirements, the laws that deal with the subject, its nuances, showing that laws can and should be made more flexible when it comes to the interests of groups of children and adolescents that are not part of the preferred profile of the Brazilian adopter, contributing to its insertion in a definitive family, and finally the whole process regarding the adoption of children and adolescents. The work in question has as a method of approach the deductive, as it begins to analyze existing issues about national and transnational adoption in our country, starting from a general way to the particular. The research contemplates themes related to the duty of adopters in relation to adoptees, issues of birth registration, as well as the irrevocability of adoption and the effects it brings to the parties involved.
