O perfil social do agressor e da mulher vítima de violência doméstica no Município de Sousa-PB.

Abstract

The present study entitled "The profile of the perpetrator and of the women victim of domestic violence in the city of Sousa-PB" has the objective to identify the bigger incidence of aggressors and victims in cases of domestic violence against women in the town of Sousa. For this it was necessary to carry out field research in 9th the Regional Police Department - Women Specialist Police of this municipality. When checking through the data that the highest incidence of domestic violence that is committed by men against women, taking advantage of the warm relationship between them, the study prioritized these cases specifically. For contextualization of the subject, it was analyzed the influence of patriarchy in the posture of superiority of men toward women, which has encouraged a culture of violence against women over the years, moreover, it was made a historical overview of Family Law with emphasis on the legal instruments on the current legal status of women in the past. Aspects are the main elements of international and national legislation on the defense of women, weaving above conceptual and classificatory considerations of domestic violence and their manifestations in order to Law 11.340/06. It also outlines the discussions on the specialized women's police stations, showing its origin and its importance in the context of domestic violence. It was also highlighted the essential aspects of the research, which allowed the study reached the intended purpose in its achievements, this is to draw the profile of the perpetrator and women victim of domestic violence in the city of Sousa. It was used as a method of approach to research the inductive and how method of proceeding, the historical and statistical methods, and research technique that best suits the needs of the study was the extensive direct documentation. Finally, it is noteworthy that it is useless to create legal means to curb domestic violence, nor provide support assistance to victims, the main factors responsible for the outbreak of the violence (remnants of the patriarchal culture and the impunity of the aggressor) are still being experienced in society brazilian.
