O livro-texto como recurso didático: potencialidades e limitações.

Abstract

The present work tries to present a reflection on the use of the textbook within the educational practice. Our experience took place at the Escola Estadual 1º Grau Pedro Américo, in Cajazeiras - Paraíba. The theme is justified because it is a controversial subject, given the way most teachers use this teaching material in their daily lives. Due to this observation regarding the value that the teacher attributes to the textbook, this study is necessary, where from classroom observations, studies and critical analyzes made with teachers about the texts and activities contained in the textbook, they were alternatives for solving the question are presented, aiming to promote a reflection on the use of the textbook, since this is the only didactic material that the student has access to in that school.
