O direito à educação da criança e adolescente com deficiência: uma análise da inclusão escolar no centro de educação especial integrada Geny Ferreira.

Abstract

Entitled "The right to education of children and adolescents with disabilities: an analysis of school inclusion in the Geny Ferreira Integrated Special Education Center", this study aims to understand the evolution of the rights of people with disabilities in the Brazilian context, especially of the child and the adolescent, and the legislative progress regarding the positivation of these rights, specifically to education. After the historical analysis and explanation of the legislation, it focuses on the implementation of inclusive practices in Brazilian educational institutions, understanding education as a guarantee for all individuals without any discrimination or prejudice. An outline is made of the reality experienced and the main obstacles that have been faced, seeking to understand the need for inclusive education for the full development of people with disabilities. Therefore, in order to obtain the practical knowledge of what has been developed in educational institutions that intend to carry out inclusive practices within their environment, a field research was carried out at the Geny Ferreira Integrated Special Education Center - CEEIGEF, located in the Municipality of Sousa – Paraiba, where it was found that about 10% of their pupils correspond to children and adolescents with different disabilities. Field research is structured in two moments. The first one seeks to analyze the implementation of inclusive educational practices in CEEIGEF, pointing out considerations about the theme, trying to understand the policy of attendance of the institution. Already in a second moment, it turns to the view of the teachers on the subject, since 93% of the interviewed have in their class, students with deficiency.
