Abstract

The present paper's objective is to give a brief notion about the drunkenness, in the Right of the Work's extent, focusing in the deserved cause for alcoholic drunkenness, according its classification as a disease by the 10th Revision of International Classification of Diseases, into effect since 01.01.1993. For that, it was necessary to bring up some primordial Right of the Work's concept, such as: employment agreement, contractual subjects, and cancellation form for deserved cause, especially for the employer. The paper is of bibliographical stamp, using the juridicalexegetic and hypothetical-deductive method, with teachers support and pertinent jurisprudences to the theme. Thereafter, more specific concepts were analyzed, for example the drunkenness according to the Medicine, and the drunkenness' characterization according to the Right of the Work, habitual or in service, with emphasis in the drunkenness' cases as a disease, owing the employee to be treated. Standing out the social side, not economical, about the question involving the drunkenness and its repercussion in the employment agreement.
