Abstract

In Brazil, many studies and research are related to child delinquency, however, it is rare to seek the perspective of the commission of these illicit acts through the female sex. This study aims to identify the main reasons that lead girls to follow the path of crime and to find answers to solve these problems. The present work deals with the situation of the girls involved in the practice of infractions and the importance of the social performance assured by the constituent principles of the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent. It also analyzes the historical construction of childhood and adolescence, based on the gender approach, as well as the appropriate measures applied to the offending girls for the integral protection and guarantee of their rights, being possible to compare the conditions that are proposed in the Statute of the Child and Adolescent and our Magna Carta and those that are actually applied, so that it is possible to identify the faulty acts in theory and practice.
