Desenganos do “(neo)desenvolvimentismo” em Suape: metamorfoses sociais no município de Cabo de Santo Agostinho.

Abstract

The present thesis is part of the effort to reflect on the “(neo) developmentalist” socio-political and economic program of the Partido dos Trabalhadores(PT), that is, the application of a series of economic and legal measures, accompanied by a set of public policies, with a view to boosting economic growth, through the strategy of greater integration of the Brazilian economy into the capital accumulation circles worldwide, not without important cultural, territorial, environmental and labor consequences. In our investigation, the theme of development and its implications has been expensive, since our objective has been to understand in what state, currently, the organization of the productive forces is, in a specific region and at the same time demonstrate that the country passes by a significant change in its economic policy, particularly in the area of large structuring enterprises, such as the Complexo Industrial e Portuário de Suape (CIPS), in the metropolitan region of Recife, in the state of Pernambuco.The present thesis works with the following hypothesis, that during the coalition governments led by the PT, (un) formed by the conciliation of classes, there were changes in some important aspects of the economic policy, allowing sectors of the bourgeoisie linked to the greater associated national capital ascendancy over the State, directing part of the public budget to its companies and projects. However, in the face of an economic cycle that is ending, it is about the reality of “scorched earth” that the subordinate social classes seek a new meaning. Keywords: Suape
