Índice de responsabilidade social da universidade: uma metodologia de avaliação institucional.

Abstract

The present study aimed to elaborate a proposal of index of social responsibility at the university, as methodology to measure an institutional evaluation. This way, it was realized an exploratory research of quantitative and qualitative nature, guided by the Article 3rd indent III from Law nº 10.861/2004, that institutes a Nacional System of Evaluation of Higher Education, and in the proposals approached by La Jara et. al. (2006), Calderón (2006) and Rolim (2009). The methodology presented is constituted of criterions, subcriterions and atributes that allows to measure the dimension of the Social Responsibility proposed at the legislation. The application of the methodology to verify the index happened in the Center of Humane, Social and Agrarian Sciences of the Federal University of Paraíba, Campus III, located in the town of Bananeiras-PB. The path followed passed through the contextualization of the university related to the concept of organization, origin and ramifications, their differentiation and social function, the social responsability in the empresarial context and the assumptions for the university. Spreadsheets of systematization were prepared to evaluate the data collected. The results are present in the elaboration of the evaluation methodology, in the definition of the mathematical formulas and their application, which resulted in the acquisition of an index of SRU. It’s possible to conclude that the methodology proposed reinforces the dissemination of practicals of measurement of results and the comprehension of the university as protagonist of the social responsibility, as well as indicates new perspectives for the evaluation of the dimension of the SR at the university.
