Benefícios do associativismo oferecidos a produtores rurais de municípios paraibanos.

Abstract

The present study aims to analyze the benefits of associativism offered to rural producers in municipalities in Paraíba. The theoretical basis is based on the discussion around the vision of local development and rural associations. For that, it was a qualitative descriptive multi-case study was carried out, whose data collection occurred by through semi-structured interviews and documentary research, involving three associations in the municipalities of Olivedos, São Vicente do Seridó and Cubatí. The data were treated through content analysis. The results indicate that the associations face difficulties in relation to the number, the absence of partners and the lack of flow of the production of the products, but even before that the associations provide benefits to the community in terms of social development and economic. The study's conclusions reinforce that strengthening these links relationships achieve gains in coexistence that drive local development. This study is of interest to researchers, rural producers in the region and agents involved with public policies aimed at the rural environment.
