Abstract

With the restructuring of the Brazilian electric power sector at the end of the 90s, marked by the privatization of many companies in the sector, came the need for the govenment to give greater attention to the health an safety of those working in electrical facilities and services with electricity. By reviewing the Regulatory Norm 10 in 2004, sought to adapt its content to the modernization that the sector had suffered and consequently improve the safety of those who work directly or indirectly interacting with electrical facilities. Even today still is considerable the number of work accidents in the Brazilian electric power sector due to the lack of appropriate facilities and services with electricity according to Regulatory Norm 10. This paper aims to develop a tool in order to facilitate the identification of points in a facility or service that are not in accordance with Regulatory Norm 10. Through the tool it is possible to develop a plan of action in order to put in place the necessary corrective actions aiming to reach the Regulatory Norm 10.
