Abstract

This report refers to the supervised internship at the Paraíba Military Police, specifically at the Regional Policing Command I in Campina Grande and at the 4th Police Battalion of Paraíba, in Guarabira. The start date of the internship was 05/07/2018 and the end date was 01/08/2018, with a total of 372 hours accounted. The objective of the internship was the elaboration of structured cabling projects and an Atmospheric Discharge Protection System (ADPS). The secondary activities were related to the solution of routine problems in the electrical installations of the buildings. The main tools used for the project design and troubleshooting were the ABNT technical standards and the AutoCAD ™ software. Finally, budgets were elaborated regarding the execution of the mentioned projects, besides the budget of the project of low voltage electrical installations realized by the last trainee. In addition activities listed above, a presentation was given in the building of the Regional Policing Command I, directed to those responsible and with the purpose of exposing and scientifically explaining the importance of the projects carried out. This internship gave the student the opportunity to aggregate knowledge, to experience the reality of the job market, and also to apply theoretical contents learnt during the graduation in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Campina Grande.
