Abstract

This work describes the activities performed during the integrated internship, developed at Cargill Agrícola S/A, located in the city of Barreias - BA. Cargill is one of the largest privately held companies in the world, according to Forbes. In the Packaging sector, it was possible to use knowledge acquired during the Electrical Engineering course in the application in industry. Cargill is an American company, founded more than 155 years ago and operates in several areas, such as agriculture, animal nutrition, food, beauty and pharmaceuticals. The daily practical experience during the internship period contributed signiĄcantly to professional training, acting as support to industrial engineering and performing, among several functions: the elaboration and modiĄcation of documents and project scopes, monitoring the execution of executive projects, the search for opportunities that can reduce costs and/or increase proĄts and productivity, using concepts from the Six Sigma set of practices and applying tools such as Pareto, adapting them to the needs required for the activities and the limitations imposed by the productive environment, in addition to ensuring the excellence of product quality, in order to satisfy the customer.
