Estudo comparativo entre a energia transferida às hastes do SPT e a resistência do solo.

Abstract

This thesis presents and discuss the results from an investigation carried out in the determination of standard penetration test index (NSPT), torque (T) and the energy transferred to the STP rods. Tests were done at three places in João Pessoa city where five boreholes were used. To obtain data from the energy transferred to SPT rods it was used a mobile system of data acquisition named SPT analyzer. The calculation of the amount of energy was done using three different methods: EF2, E2F and EFV. The energy values obtained from methods EF2 and E2F revealed the trend to a relationship between energy transferred to SPT rods and theirs length till approximately 14m, beyond this depth the values of energy transferred practically did not changed. For EFV method it was observed that the values of energy practically did not changed despite the rods length considered. The results obtained showed significant linear correlation between NSPT e T. The statistics parameters obtained from the proposal correlations among EF2, E2F and EFV against NSPT and T revealed a non significative correlations among these parameters. The investigations using SPT-T simultaneously to measuring of energy transferred to SPT rods, are in starting fase. For this reason, there is a need for studies to be carried out in order to increase the existing amount of data.
