Impactos dos agrotóxicos em abelhas africanizadas.

Abstract

Africanized bees are pollinator insects of great impact in the production of various agricultural crops. Currently, the population density of many pollinators is being reduced to levels that can disrupt pollination services in natural and agricultural ecosystems, and jeopardize the maintenance of the reproductive capacity of wild plants (KREMEN, 2004). One of the main causes reported by the surveys is the use of pesticides. The pesticides, besides causing the death of bees, according to Bortolotti et al. (2003) and Freitas and Pinheiro (2010), can alter the behavior of bees both inside and outside the hive leading to the collapse of the swarm. Considering these facts, the use of agrochemicals is increasingly associated with the decline of pollinators, especially in the surroundings of agricultural areas, and is also associated with Colony Collapse Syndrome (FONSECA, et al., 2012). The work is a qualitative research, based on a dissertation, thesis, scientific article and book search, with the proposed theme "The impact of agrochemicals on bees Apis melífera. This research aims to collect bibliographic data regarding the importance of Africanized bees used as pollinators and the impact of the use of pesticides on these insects and their direct consequences in the reduction of agricultural production.
