Territorialidade camponesa no alto sertão paraibano: a reestruturação da feira agroecológica de Cajazeiras - PB.

Abstract

This study discusses the restructuring of the agroecological fair in the municipality of Cajazeiras ­ PB. We started from a reflection on peasant social reproduction and coexistence with the semiarid in the Alto Sertão. The central question of this research is whether agroecological production is able to strengthen peasant territoriality through its commercialization in the agroecological fair of Cajazeiras? Our methodological procedures relate to quantitative and qualitative analysis in geographic research. The primary objective is to understand the restructuring of the agroecological fair as a possible alternative to improve the quality of life in the field. The positive assumption is yes, the fair is able to strengthen the peasant territoriality in the municipality of Cajazeiras the negative assumption is that it does not. Among the methodological procedures of the research, we applied questionnaires and visited the field. These researches in the field were essential to understand the reality of the producing families and agrarian reform settlements in the municipality of Cajazeiras. Among the subjects of the research are the consumers of agroecological fair products and passers­by. In the results achieved, we reflected on the agrarian issue in the high hinterland, the peasant territoriality and the social imaginary of this fair and especially its importance of the agroecological fair.
