A Feira de Queimadas - PB: intervenção pública, relocalização e dinâmica atual.

Abstract

The street markets are characterized by rather old and resistant commercial activities, it was important for the fixation of man in society favoring the emergence and consolidation of the towns and municipalities, therefore influencing the spatial arrangement. In Brazil itappeared since the colonial period and greatly influenced the emergence of the cities, especially the northeastern interior, in addition to promoting the economy within the country. So the research aimed analyze the Fair in the city of Queimadas, more precisely its relocation process, an intervention made by the public authorities claiming that the fair was moving into the urban space promoting an unorganized look to the city center, the fair moved to a decentralized area of the city, which caused drastic changes in its dynamics, and is currently undergoing by period of decay.To the research were used the following methodological procedures: Bibliographical Survey, Photo Registration and Application Questionnaire. However, what it was noted was the decline of the street market´s commerce due to its current location and the dissatisfaction of the sellers and customers as the action of the public authorities to relocate the fair.
