Abstract

The debate about violence against women is a relatively young social demand in which the feminist movement has had a multiple and fundamental action regarding the visibility and combat of such violence, removing the issue of the sphere of private and family life to legitimize it, as a political and public health problem. Confronting itself as a discussion that drags on society in a bias of complexities and situations that lead women to be exposed to degrading, sexist, sexist, prejudiced conditions, characterized by various forms of violence, in which they end up becoming hostages of their own partners and in many cases end up being left behind by inefficient public instruments that fail to guarantee the minimum safety of these women, let alone ensure them socially. Understanding that the school is a fecund space for the socialization of relationships, which can combat such conditions, we will do the research in this place. Thus, the present work intends to investigate the perception of students of the Elpídio de Almeida School (Silver) regarding the issue of violence inflicted on women, as well as the forms and the way this violence manifests itself in their daily experience. In this context, we used the qualitative research that searches descriptive data for a better understanding of the phenomena, through questionnaires. As a result, it was identified that the majority of the students participating in the research have already suffered some type of violence and / or witnessed other women being assaulted. Another point to highlight is the fact that on rare occasions there was a denunciation by those involved and still the few who did not obtained the expected results, finally, the students see in a negative way the violence against the woman. The research expects other works that may be directed towards the direction of the school and community towards women and their social confrontations. In possession of such information educational strategies were proposed that favored other less prejudiced, sexist and sexist behaviors.
