Abstract

Tourism is an activity that carries in itself the appropriation of places, and therefore the search for investments that modify and restructure the selected spaces for your playlist. With this, it is apparent the various changes that urban areas have undergone to become eligible, the realization of these type of activity. Thus, the present work comes with the unfolding of a monographic experiences obtained through contact to the knowledge of geographic science and your relationship with tourism. The work presented here, aim to understand how the center of the city of Campina Grande has been adapted for the use of tourism, both in restructuring processes, and implementation of public policies that favor your use, for example, the deployment of the system, such as tourist transports gardeners system search result of scientific initiation, obtained in the year 2016. The methodological contribution was based on qualitative analysis techniques, these being: on-the-spot visit to the sights of downtown Campina Grande, bibliographic research and the realization of a tourist inventory carried out by students of the Geography course at the Federal University of Campina Grande. With the results obtained, we saw the tourism potential that the center of the city has, but which still lacks effective investments for your consolidation, example, signaling of the places and the creation of a bank of tourist information.
