| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | Os cães domésticos cada vez mais ocupam o lugar de verdadeiro membro dentro das famílias. Muitos são tratados como filhos e essa íntima relação, tem levado muitos animas a manifestarem comportamento tipicamente humano. Esse estudo teve como objetivo avaliar possíveis alterações reprodutivas em cadelas sob forte influência doméstica. Foi aplicado um questionário junto aos proprietários de 30 cadelas durante consultas de rotina no Hospital Veterinário (CSTR-UFCG) que foram escolhidas aleatoriamente seguindo dois critérios: serem de pequeno porte e utilizarem roupas e acessórios. Das 30 cadelas avaliadas neste estudo, 15 apresentaram alguma alteração no ciclo reprodutivo e no comportamento sexual, sugerindo que a forte influência doméstica pode ocasionar alterações reprodutivas nessa espécie. |
| Abstract: | Changes in reproductive behavior in bitches under strong domestic influence. Domestic dogs increasingly occupying the place of true member in the families. Many are treated as children and this close relationship has led many animals to express behavior typically human. This study aimed to evaluate possible reproductive changes in bitches under strong domestic influence. A questionnaire was applied by the owners of 30 dogs during routine consultations at the Veterinary Hospital (CSTRUFCG) that were chosen randomly according to two criteria: they are small businesses and using clothing and accessories. Of the 30 evaluated in this study 15 bitches presented a change in sexual behaviour and reproductive cycle, suggesting that the strong domestic influence can cause reproductive changes in this species. |
