dc.description.resumoA mastite bovina consiste na inflamação da glândula mamária, classificando-se como a principal patologia da indústria leiteira no mundo, e sendo responsável por um grande impacto econômico por afetar diretamente a produção e gerar gastos com o seu tratamento ou possível perdas de animais. Portanto é imprescindível o diagnóstico precoce, para que seja adotado o tratamento mais eficiente. Para que seja evitado o acometimento do rebanho por esta enfermidade deve-se incluir medidas de manejo correto, além de se estabelecer programas de controle e prevenção como ferramenta de auxílio contra o alastramento da doença.pt_BR

Bovine Mastitis is an inflammation of the mammary gland and has been identified as the predominant pathology of the world's dairy industry. It has a significant economic impact, directly affecting production while also imposing the cost of treatment and the possible loss of animals. Early diagnosis is essential in order to identify the most effective treatment. In order to avoid the spread of this disease to the herd, proper management procedures need to be enacted, and programs for the control and prevention of the disease should be established.pt_BR
