| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | A anestesiologia é uma área da medicina veterinária que está em constante desenvolvimento, buscando aprimorar e desenvolver novos procedimentos anestésicos e terapêuticos com o intuito de proporcionar ao animal um bem estar antes, durante e após qualquer procedimento doloroso. O presente estudo tem como objetivo ressaltar as principais características fisiológicas dos principais sistemas envolvidos no momento da anestesia do cão e gato neonato, comparar a fisiologia do animal adulto com a fisiologia do animal neonato, podendo assim dos subsídios à escolha dos melhores fármacos e desenvolver o melhor protocolo anestesio para o cão e o gato neonato. Assim, esta revisão de literatura mostra que a anestesia em neonatos é um procedimento delicado, pois os protocolos anestésicos e os fármacos precisam ser escolhidos considerando-se a imaturidade dos sistemas orgânicos do animal, de modo a não debilitá-lo ainda mais. |
| Abstract: | Anesthesiology is an area of the veterinary medicine that is constantly developing, seeking to improve and develop new anesthetic and therapeutic procedures in order to provide the animal with a wellbeing before, during and after any painful procedure. The present study aims to highlight the main physiological characteristics of the main systems involved in the anesthesia of the newborn dog and cat, to compare the physiology of the adult animal with the physiology of the newborn animal, thus being able to select the best drugs and develop the best anesthetic protocol for the dog and the newborn cat. Thus, this literature review shows that anesthesia in neonates is a delicate procedure, since anesthetic protocols and drugs need to be chosen considering the immaturity of the animal's organic systems, so as not to weaken it further. |
