The main objective of this work is to present the various therapeutic effects of propolis on diseases that affect man and animals, cited in the scientific literature, since the topic is of great relevance today. It also aims to describe the social organization of hives and bee products that can be used by man and animals. Propolis has proven action as an efficient disinfectant, corroborated by several scientific studies, where they show its bactericidal, bacteriostatic, antifungal, analgesic, healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-cariogenic, antioxidant properties, among others. This apitherapic has been used in several different situations, both in the service of human health and therapeutically in animals, in the treatment of infections, inflammations, wound healing, burns, respiratory disorders and others.
