Abstract

Mutations in the DNA have caused many diseases, among which include the cancer. These changes in DNA are induced by several factors, among them by substances contained in vegetables. The Cnidoscolus phyllacanthus (Mart.) people. et. K. Hoffm (faveleira) is a native plant of the semi-arid highly resistant to drought can be used both in human and animal consumption, sawmill, medicine, energy, rehabilitation of degraded areas, among others. Because of enormous concern, it aims to assess the effect of seed oil clastogênico of faveleira (Cnidoscolus phylacanthus) through the test of metaphase in bone marrow of mice (Mus musculus) in vivo.
