| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | A oxigenoterapia hiperbárica é uma terapia que consiste na inalação de oxigênio numa concentração de 100% sob alta pressão, que é obtida no interior de uma câmara hiperbárica. Esta terapia é, geralmente, indicada para o tratamento de patologias, cujas lesões apresentam-se com baixas tensões de oxigênio. A oxigenoterapia hiperbárica ainda é uma terapia incipiente na Medicina Veterinária. Desta forma, este trabalho objetiva a revisão de literatura sobre a indicação e a finalidade desta terapia, enumera as patologias que podem ser tratadas através dela; descreve sobre os tipos de câmaras hiperbáricas existentes; comentam sobre as leis científicas que sustentam a aplicação da terapia e mostra a participação do oxigênio nos processos de regeneração dos diferentes tecidos. Portanto, é de suma importância para esta área profissional a propagação do conhecimento desta terapia inovadora, que disponibiliza mais um recurso terapêutico que oferece aos pacientes a vantagem de obter saúde com qualidades estética e funcional. |
| Abstract: | Hyperbaric oxygen therapy consists in inhalation of 100% oxygen concentration under high pressure that is obtained inside of a hyperbaric chamber. This therapy is usually indicated to pathology treatments, which lesions present low oxygen tension. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is in initial phase in Veterinary Medicine. Thereby, this work aims the literature review about the indication and objective of this therapy, enumerates the pathologies that can be treated through it; describes about hyperbaric chambers types, comments about scientific laws that support the application of it and shows the oxygen participation in regeneration process of different tissues. Therefore it is very important for this professional area, the spreading of knowledge about this innovating therapy that makes available one more therapeutic resource that offers to patients the advantages to obtain health with aesthetic and functional qualities. |
