Avaliação da atividade ectoparasitária da Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan var. cebil (Griseb.) Altshul (angico) em caprinos naturalmente infectados por piolhos do gênero Bovicola caprae.

Abstract

The present work had as objective tests the effectiveness of the botanical extract of Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan var. cebil (Griseb.) Altshul (Angico), against ectoparasytas of bovid (Bovicula caprae) naturally infested. With base in the botanical potential of the Savanna, that vegetable species was used that is easily found in our area. The preparation of the dye was formulated starting from the dry peels of that plant, that for each 500g of the peel of Angico, it was added 1L of ethyl alcohol (96th) and after having submitted to the rest of 24 hours the alcoolatura it was made available for alive in to be applied in bovid. The prominence areas for the application of the product were the neck, back and gluteo. In those areas it happens a larger incidence of infestations for malofagos. Of the seven properties registered in the project and, located in the municipaly district of Passagem - PB, in only two of those properties the presence was diagnosed of bovid with malofagos. The infestation showed to be influenced by the sazonalidade, being smaller in the rainy and larger period in the period dries the dye of Angico, they don't present any adverse and healthy effect of easy applicability for the rural producers. The experimental treatment demonstrated to be effective in the combat against the action of ectoparasytas of the species Bovicula caprae.
