Avaliação da sazonalidade da deposição de serapiheira em RPPN no Semi-árido da Paraíba - PB.

Abstract

Evaluation of the seasonality of litter deposition in RPPN in the semi-arid region of Paraíba - PB. The study was conducted in RPPN/Tamanduá Farm/Santa Teresinha(PB) and aimed to evaluate the potential of depositing litter in Caatinga. Were marked seven equidistant transects were randomly collecting 20 boxes of 1m ². The experimental period was 36 months, divided into periods: P1 (August/2006- July/2007), P2 (August/2007-July/2008) and P3 (August/2008-July/2009). The monthly deposition was separated into leaves, branches, reproductive structures and miscellaneous, with subsequent determination of dry weight. The experimental design was randomized blocks with treatments in a factorial arrangement 3 x 12. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and comparison of means by Tukey test. Total production in the 3 periods was estimated at 6800.67kg ha-1, represented 77.79% of leaves, branches 11.22% and the fractions reproductive structures and miscellaneous accounted for 8.21% and 2.81% respectively. The total deposition in P1 was 2988.54 kg ha-1, P2 was 1433.19 kg ha-1 and P3 with 2369.94 kg ha-1. Correlation analysis was significant between the P1 fraction reproductive structures with hodgepodge x value of correlation r= 0.9040 in P2 showed a correlation between variables branch x reproductive structure r= 0.8034, miscellaneous x branch r= 0.9051, branch x rainfall r= 0.7299, reproductive structure x miscellany r= 0.9591, reproductive structure x rainfall r= 0.7525 and Miscellaneous x rainfall r= 0,7305 and P3 branch x reproductive structure r= 0.6224 and reproductive structure x rainfall r= 0.6861. Precipitation influenced the seasonality of litter deposition, the leaf fraction is presented predominantly in the litter was more pronounced at the end of the rainy season, the total deposition of litter produced a magnitude-leaf> branch> reproductive structure> Miscellaneous.
