Tratamento cirúrgico do cisto ósseo traumático: relato de caso.

Abstract

The traumatic bone cyst is defined as an asymptomatic bone cavity, generally empty, but may contain in its interior a serosanguineous fluid, involving in most cases the mandible. This study aims to report a clinical case of a traumatic bone cyst, emphasizing the surgical technique. Gender female patient, 15 years of age, was forwarded to the Dental Clinic of the Federal University of Campina Grande for evaluation intraosseous lesion in the anterior mandible. Radiographic examination evidenced a unilocular radiolucent lesion, asymptomatic and associated to the apex of the teeth 25 and 26 who presented pulp vitality. The patient reported no trauma in childhood, despite presenting a scar on the submental region. The clinical diagnosis of traumatic bone cyst was performed, surgical exploration and curettage of the bone defect was the treatment of choice. In the postoperative period of one year, the patient progressed satisfactorily without clinical complaints.A
