Reabilitação de dentes anteriores com prótese fixa: relato de caso.

Abstract

The rehabilitation treatment with fixed prosthesis consists of the replacement of extensive restorations or the replacement of elements where there was great loss of dental remnant, in order to increase patient comfort, besides promoting aesthetic and functional rehabilitation. The crowns made of pure ceramics or of metal have presented satisfactory and significantly good results as for their, translucency and aesthetics, also reestablishing the function. The objective of this work was to present a clinical case report, the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of anterior teeth, therefore, different dental preparation techniques were used, one with the use of molten metal core for metaloceramic crown, and another using the fiberglass pin and resin core or resin composite for metal free crown. The patient had the endodontically treated elements 11 and 21, large composite resin restorations on the element 11 and a provisional crown on the element 21, being unsatisfied with the previous aesthetic. With the case we can conclude that the rehabilitation of anterior teeth using both the metal-ceramic crown on the metal core and the metal-free crown on the preparation with fiberglass pin, satisfactorily responded to the functional, aesthetic and phonetic restoration in the rehabilitation process of the patient.
