Abstract

Academic knowledge about the use of the bite mark in human identification. The study of bite marks in criminal situations is of inestimable value, often representing a unique character for the identification of the offender. To evaluate the students' knowledge of the dentistry course of a public and private life on the importance of studying human bites in human identification. We used an inductive approach with the descriptive statistical status and the direct document search technique in the field. The measure was made by 150, which conformed to the study's eligibility standard. Among the results, 99% of the students who measured a subject were reported; 92% stated that there are two distinct identities and 79% acknowledge areas of bite marks. 97% of the evidence knew that it was a simple message of suspected identification or exclusion of suspects. The mean of the knowledge of anomalies of dentaries on identification for bite identifiers and the causes of disruptions were known by 79% of the sample. On a fingerprint disc with plaster design, 69% of the results got a suspect. The study demonstrated the best results, for the most part, the satisfactory knowledge.
