Abstract

The present study, Narratives and Memories about Family Conflicts and Power Disputes in the District of Santa Fé Monte Horebe PB 1870-1900. It aimed to present an analysis of the social memories and histories that point to the family conflicts through which the branches of the Barbosa and Viriatos families became fervent and rivals between the years 1870-1900 and contributed to the so-called decadence of the current Santa Fé District. PB As for the specific objectives, we seek to: understand the reasons why conflicts between families originated, identify the power relations that predominated in the period 1870-1900 in the district of Fé Monte Horebe PB; Problematize the experiences of families using the memories and understandings of the individuals interviewed. This is an exploratory and descriptive research, using a dose of bibliographic technique and field research through oral interviews. The study also aimed to resolve personal doubts, carrying out bibliographic research of the discretions of the events that occurred during the 19th century in Santa Fé, in the light of the interpretations of the New History, and the new political history.
