Estudo eletrocardiográfico de Caprinos Moxotó no Semi-árido Paraibano.

Abstract

The objective of this work was to study the electrocardiographic pattern of clinically healthy Moxotó goats in the semi-arid region of Paraíba. 20 healthy goats were used, 10 males and 10 females, which were randomly arranged to compose two groups, each with an equal number of males and females. In the Youth Group (GJ) the mean weight was 19.4+5.7 kg and the mean age was 9.7+4.8 months. In the Adult Group (AG) the mean weight and age were 29.8+4.1 kg and 27.6+3.5 kg, respectively. months. The experiment was carried out in the same facilities where the animals were raised. Body temperature (CT), heart rate (HR), respiratory rate (f) and duration (Pms) and P wave amplitude, QRS complex duration (QRSms), R wave amplitude (RmV), amplitude of the T wave(TmV) and duration of the P-R (P-Rms) and Q-T (Q-Tms) intervals. The results referring to TC, FC and / remained within the physiological limits for the species, with no significant difference between the groups studied. The values ​​of Pms and Pmv and QRSms remained similar, not varying significantly between groups. There was a significant difference between the groups regarding RmV (GJ = 0.17+0.08; GA = 0.33+0.12), at P-Rms (GJ - 82.9+8.8; GA = 105.3+ 16.9) and Q-Tms (GJ = 252.4+30.3; GA = 287.4+31.5). It is concluded that the conformation of some variables of the electrocardiogram changes according to the age of the goats.
