Utilização de laminados cerâmicos na reabilitação estética e funcional: relato de caso.

Abstract

With the advancement of dental materials and dental techniques, the use of ceramic laminates has become a more conservative procedure, with greater predictability for the patient and professional involved. The patient complained about his smile and after a clinical examination, there were diastema, and a darkened tooth, and the procedures were planned, consisting of: restoring aesthetic and functional patterns of the smile, such as shape and contour of the teeth and restoration of the teeth guides. The following case report aims to demonstrate and discuss the protocols and clinical step-by-step of the treatment with ceramic laminates, describing the use of materials, and the techniques used during the procedure. After clinical examination and planning, ceramic laminates were used to return shape, change size and color, and to correct small spaces and flaws in the positioning of the teeth. This thin blade adhered to the tooth has excellent physical properties, optical, and a high degree of compatibility that allows restoring structural and aesthetic integrity. Thus making a satisfactory treatment, with greater longevity and the minimum wear of the dental elements.
