Preparo interno de laminados cerâmicos previamente à cimentação: relato de caso.

Abstract

The ceramics used in Dentistry have been highlighting in terms of longevity and clinical predictability for aesthetic restorative treatments, mainly due to the strength and durability of the bond between the tooth surface, the cementing agent and the porcelain, besides providing a minimal intervention in the dental fabrics and an excellent aesthetic result. The type of material and its possibility of being conditioned with hydrofluoric acid added to the silanization of the porcelain was the advent that provided a significant increase of the union of the ceramic with the cementing agent being compared to the traditional conditioning with phosphoric acid of the dental substrate added to the application of the adhesive system, which provided a major advantage over conventional treatments. The objective of this work will be to describe an oral aesthetic rehabilitation with ceramic laminates by means of a specific and quite effective clinical and laboratory sequence and to emphasize the importance of the internal preparation of the restorative material and the correct choice of cementing agent to obtain excellent bonding results and longevity. The patient complained of an aesthetic deficiency of her smile mainly in relation to changes in the color of the dental substrates and, on clinical examination, it was possible to notice deficient composite resin restorations besides visible changes in texture. The e.max type ceramic laminates were installed in the elements 13,12,11,21,22 and 23, which underwent the process of shielding and silanization of the part resulting in an excellent bond strength and an excellent aesthetic result that was according to the expectations of the patient and the dentist.
