Análise da taxa de publicação dos trabalhos desenvolvidos nos programas de iniciação científica no Campus de Patos - PB.

Abstract

It’s perceivable the rising in terms of scientific production because of the number of articles published in national based journals, showing a percentage raise if compared with other countries. The CNPq, while establishing partnerships with colleges and other research centers, created the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarship (PIBIC) and the Program of Scientific Initiation Volunteers(PIVIC), being actually, the great responsible for the researches in academic level. Based on all of this, the point of this article is to identify the rate of publications developed in the campus of Patos - PB, observe the time between the presentation in a congress and the publication , the school with the biggest number of publications, the most published field inside the dentistry school and examine the qualification on those publications. It has been observed a number of 317 papers done, being 283 (83%) in PIBIC classification and 54 (17%) in PIVIC. We checked a good rate of publications in which 33 (10,4%) of the searched papers were published in journals, presenting also a good evaluation quails – CAPES, where 10 (30%) are in the category A2. We conclude that, in general, the rate of publication of the work developed in IC programmes on campus of Patos is low and that the course has obtained more publication is Veterinary MedicineAnalyzing the dentistry, the collective health showed up as the most researched, followed by the restoring dentistry, showing each one of the published papers. Besides the relevance and the important contributions coming from the SI, there are still few surveys about the proper studies and publications. So, there is a need of promotion to the development of investigations that come to contribute to the analysis and a better knowledge about the issue.
