Investigação das manifestações patológicas do museu do Seridó, localizado no município de Caicó-RN.

Abstract

The presence of pathological manifestations in real estate are very common problems, especially in old buildings. Thus, with a previous study, it is possible to determine the type and cause of the pathology through visual inspection, with situations that require a more in-depth analysis. Furthermore, the identification of these anomalies, together with the indication of appropriate treatments, is essential to combat them and to prevent the emergence of others. Therefore, the present work aims to identify the pathological manifestations found in the Seridó Museum, located in the city of Caicó-RN, classifying these problems based on NBR 16747/2020, in addition to proposing alternative interventions, paying attention to the order priority in solving these irregularities. The choice of the object of study took into account the importance of conservation and dissemination of the history of Caicó and the Seridó Region through the Museum, since there is a lack of documents about the memory of these people. Therefore, the methodology adopted for the production of this work is based on carrying out a building survey, guided by NBR 16747/2020 and aided by the GUT matrix (Severity, Urgency and Trend). Among the existing pathological manifestations, the following stand out in the building environments: dirt, mold, cracks, detachment of the coating by blistering and dust, wear of the wood of the elements and peeling of the paint. The property has two floors, with the ground floor rooms being the most affected when compared to the upper floor rooms. Therefore, after a thorough evaluation, it is noted that the condition of the place is precarious and unpleasant for its visitors, especially regarding aesthetics and these pathologies do not, in general, show risks to the safety of visitors or danger to the stability of the building, with the exception of the upper floor which is in an advanced state of deterioration.
