| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | A Evolução Biológica é um tema integrador dentro das Ciências Biológicas. É essencial entender os fatores que facilitam e aqueles que dificultam o ensino dessa tem tica numa perspectiva regional. Partindo dessa premissa básica, o presente trabalho objetivou avaliar o conhecimento de alunos e professores de Biologia, atrav és da aplica ção de questionários, em 5 grandes escolas de duas cidades distintas: Patos e Piancó, ambas no estado da Paraíba. O espa ço amostral compreendeu 138 alunos regulamente matriculados no 3° ano do ensino mé dio e 12 professores de biologia. A partir da avalia ção do conhecimento e das ideias de professores de Biologia e alunos do ensino m édio acerca da temática de evolu ção biológica e do bioma caatinga, foi possível compreender bem como estabelecer la os entre os conteúdos ensinados em sala de aula com a realidade local dos alunos. Foi observado que professores (92%) e alunos (90%) admitem que os organismos estão em constante evolu ção, que a sele ção natural importante para a Evolu ção Biológica (92% e 88%, respectivamente) e que os fósseis constituem a principal evid ência evolutiva (67% e 83%, respectivamente). A maioria do total de inquiridos nesse estudo acredita tamb ém na importância de citar exemplos do cotidiano dos alunos durante as aulas de evolu ão, explorando de forma criteriosa a Caatinga, como por exemplo animais, plantas ou quaisquer outros organismos endê micos desse bioma. |
| ???metadata.dc.description.resume???: | The Biological Evolution is an integrating theme within the Biological Sciences. It is essential to understand the factors that facilitate and those that hinder the teaching of this subject in a regional perspective. The present study aimed to assess the knowledge of students and teachers of biology, through questionnaires, in 5 great schools in two di!erent cities: Patos and Piancó, both in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. The questionnaires were applied to 138 students in the third year of high school and to 12 biology teachers. From the evaluation of the knowledge and ideas of biology teachers and high school students on the theme of biological evolution and the caatinga biome, it was possible to understand and establish links between the content taught in the classroom with the local reality of the students. It was observed that teachers (92%) and students (90%) admit that the organisms are in constant evolution, natural selection is important factor for Evolutionary Biology (92% and 88%, respectively) and that fossils are the main evolutionary evidence (67% and 83%, respectively). The majority of all respondents in this study also believes in the importance of using local examples during evolution classes, exploring speciÞcally examples from the Caatinga, such as animals, plants or other endemic organisms from this biome. |
