Relação entre os dados epidemiológicos da Covid-19 e as políticas de imunização e contenção no Nordeste do Brasil.

Abstract

The Coronavirus pandemic caused incalculable impacts, reaching 2.5 million deaths and high-level socio-economic damage, making it a world historic landmark. It was established as a general objective of the research to relate the epidemiological data of Covid-19 with the governmental actions of the states of the Brazilian Northeast. The theoretical perspective is at the level of actions taken by state governments in Northeast Brazil through Public Policies to combat Covid-19. This topic is of wide relevance because it deals with important guidelines that involve factual information in order to guide governments to act faster and safer, and also proposes to analyze actions, these designated in the form of Public Policies relevant to the state level, that is, adheres to the theme of Public Health and the citizen's quality of life. This is a quantitative study, of the descriptive type using the technique of collecting secondary data and document analysis, this methodological design was given to meet the objective of the research, in order to analyze and empirically present epidemiological data, the actions that were implemented and their influences in the (9) states of the Northeast region, and thus, it was possible to observe that the (100) measures implemented in the Northeast helped to contain the spread, however, only after the Vaccination Policy against Covid-19 was it possible to arrive to control the number of infected and especially deaths, where at times of peak pandemic the state of Bahia recorded the highest number of cases of covid-19 (380,294 cases), while Ceará records the highest number of data on deaths caused by the disease. Covid-19 in the period from March to October 2020, that is, the agility in applying radical measures along with immunization proved the reduction in the number of cases in the Northeast and in other states.
