| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | O objetivo deste trabalho é traçar algumas considerações acerca da obra Caim (2009), do escritor português José Saramago. Nesta obra, o autor trabalha com os primeiros livros da Bíblia, contando histórias que vão do Éden ao dilúvio, sempre percorridas por Caim, que leva na testa uma marca dada por Deus, protegendo-o das adversidades humanas. Saramago propõe a reinvenção da história dita oficial, a bíblica, questionando-a como fato “real”, contribuindo, assim, com os estudos literários que dizem respeito às fronteiras entre história e ficção. Mais especificamente, o trabalho será estruturado na discussão da relação que se estabelece entre a história e a ficção e terá como suporte teórico autores como Linda Hutcheon (1991) (acerca da metaficção historiográfica), Benedito Nunes(1988) e Hayden White (1994) (sobre o discurso histórico e ficcional). |
| Abstract: | The objective of this work is to outline some considerations about the book "Cain" by José Saramago. In this work, the author deals with the early books of the Bible, telling stories ranging from Eden to the flood. He focus on Cain’s trip, who carries a mark given by God, which protects him it from human adversities. Saramago proposes reinventing the official story told by the Bible, questioning it as a "real" thing, contributing to literary studies concerning the boundaries between history and fiction. More specifically, this paper will be structured in the discussion of the relationship between history and fiction and will support theoretical authors as Linda Hutcheon (about historiographic metafiction), Benedito Nunes, Hayden White and Maria Teresa de Freitas (on the historical discourse and fictional). |
