A expansão lexical no ambiente virtual: o caso dos comentários de facebook.

Abstract

This work aims to understand how to configure the creation of new lexical items present in comments circulating in the virtual social network Facebook and check the meanings that the neologisms present within such comments. To achieve these objectives, in the data analysis, there was a description of each case neologism, highlighting its formation process and the mechanisms of lexical creation were used by the authors of the reviews, as well, there was an analysis of the senses these neologisms within the context of comments. In conducting this research was possible to understand that the social network Facebook there occurrence of various types of formation of new words that are configured through mechanisms of formal neology, semantic neology and neology loans. We also understand that the neologisms have great importance in the construction of the text's meaning, so that the new lexical item, establishing relations with the context and with other lexical units in the text, assuming a considerable sense within this text. Neologisms of uses, from the netizens, imply that these appropriated in a new behavior in the way of dealing with writing in texts circulating on the Internet, this foreshadowed the appropriation of digital literacy. This research promoted a reflection on the visible impact of the Internet on language uses, especially in the language lexicon.
