Abstract

Quality is a target that any new development should seek to achieve. This will be beneficial for both the consumer and the enterprise. This article aims to show the progress in the last centuries of knowledge in the implementation of quality systems in manufacturing. As also clarify the current state and needs of enterprises in high Hinterland of Alagoas, thus contributing to the development of the region in the implementation of quality management systems, with the expectation of improvement. Due to shortages in the region and markedly both commercial and population growth was visualized an opportunity to review the case, due to increased consumer demand. The methodology used is the bibliographic literature search and internet, then research on local projects, through completing a standard questionnaire and site visit. Initially, it is reported the vision of renowned authors in the area of quality on what is quality, its management, as well as a historical overview of its evolution, even to the present time. Through the case study it is possible to describe the reality in which high alagoano hinterland as well as the results obtained. Analyzing both the positive as well as negative , it is possible to identify the difficulties, considering the lack of implementation of quality systems in most enterprises in the region , due to lack of knowledge of them or believe that they do not even need to be placed into practice in the region . Being necessary and urgent interventions to occur advances.
