Avaliação cicatricial de suturas realizadas com fio de nylon e cola de cianoacrilato (Superbonder®), em aspecto comparativo, no tratamento de feridas cutâneas experimentais em ovinos.

Abstract

To evaluate and compare clinically and histologically the use of the adhesive ethyl-cyanoacrylate on repairing of skin surgical wounds, were used 5 adult sheep, clinically healthy. The animals were anesthesiated and two incisions of 5 cm on the skin were made. The skin suture has been made with nylon number 0, in pattern simple separate (control group) or with ethyl-cyanoacrylate sticker (group treatment). The skin wounds were daily assessed until the 10th day post-operative regarding oedema and secretion. For histological evaluation of the process, took place biopsy of both experimental wounds to 10, 20, 30 days after surgery. Using the adhesive has reduced the time of realization of the surgical procedure in 30,9%, not interfered with the scarring procedure and provided excellent aesthetic results without the need for removal the points.
