| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e quantificar a presença do vírus rábico em quirópteros, bem como identificar as espécies que ocorrem na zona urbana no município de Patos-PB. Foram realizadas capturas com uso de redes de espera em forros, e coletas de animais caídos ou encontrados fora de horário habitual em residências do município. O material coletado dos animais foi submetido à Prova de Imunofluorescencia Direta, para a pesquisa do antígeno rábico e os considerados positivos foram submetidos à prova biológica, mediante Inoculação Intra-cerebral em camundongos, para confirmação do diagnóstico. De 52 amostras processadas, o material de um animal foi considerado positivo. O que corresponde a uma prevalência de 2% do vírus rábico no material analisado. Verificou-se também a presença de duas espécies diferentes de quirópteros no município, e a espécie Molossus molossus foi a mais encontrada. |
| Abstract: | This study had the objective to identify and quantify the presence of bats that carry the rabies virus in the urban area of Patos - PB, as well as identify the species of bats that habit the region. We analyzed 52 samples from animals that were caught using the networks of waiting or were found fallen on the floor of homes in the city. The material collected was subject to the fluorescent antibody test, and the material that was considered positive subjected to the mouse inoculation test, for confirmation. There were diagnosed as positive, the material of 1 bats, which determines a prevalence of 2% of the rabies virus in the analyzed material. There was also verified the presence of 2 different species of bats in the city, and the Molossus molossus was the most found specie. |
