O fenômeno da violência contra a mulher no assentamento Mandacaru/Sumé-PB: uma análise sobre as múltiplas expressões e a rede de proteção.

Abstract

This research aims to unveil the phenomenon of violence against women in the context of rural communities in the municipality of Sumé-PB, in its multiple expressions, and the effectiveness of the safety net from the perspective of rural women, managers and professionals who work. in that municipality. Research can be defined as qualitative and descriptive. For purposes of analysis, data sources were transcribed audios of focus groups to be performed in three Agrovilas Settlement Mandacaru / Sumé-PB, a municipality that has a very lack of studies on gender violence. She analyzed these violence, exploring what women think and explain about violent gender practices, as they symbolize their position and role in the family context. Answering the following questions: Is there an institutional support network for women who suffer marital violence in the rural communities of the municipality of Sumé? What is the existing safety net for rural women in situations of domestic and intrafamily violence? What is the knowledge and access to the Maria da Penha Law for rural women? What are the violence suffered by women living in rural areas? Thus, we obtained theoretical and practical subsidies that deepened the knowledge and information about the social problem of violence against women in rural context that is constituted within a wide range of situations that, in turn, imply subjectivities, values and culture, but also on more structural issues, such as conditions of poverty and inequality.
