A era do cansaço: um estudo bibliométrico sobre a síndrome de Burnout no Brasil .

Abstract

Burnout syndrome is a psychological disorder that can affect any worker, without distinguish individuals by social class, hierarchical level, ethnicity or purchasing power. Its about a complex phenomenon, discovered in mid-1974, but still little explored and discussed in scientific publications in the area of ​​administration in the national context. It is research aimed to analyze the configuration of scientific production on the syndrome of burnout in articles published in national journals classified as Qualis A1 or A2 by the Coordination for the Improvement and Training of Higher Education Personnel – CAPES. Regarding methodological aspects, this is a survey of a bibliometric nature, 87 articles were analyzed, published between 2003 and 2022. The results found indicated the predominance of empirical, quantitative and cross-sectional studies. Identified also that the sample collected was predominantly found in a journal in the area of psychology, that the year 2021 presented the largest number of publications, and that constructs associated with the topic mostly correlate burnout with professionals in the areas of education and health. The findings of this study indicate the need for further, more aimed at forms of treatment and strategies for coping with this disease.
